Rhynchelmis sp.

Recognition

The prostomium terminates in a long proboscis and the chaetae are simple pointed like Rhynchelmis rostrata, Rhynchelmis elrodi, and Eclipidrilus daneus. This genus is under current investigation by experts, so more details latter!

Summary

Montana has at least one Rhynchelmis species besides R. elrodi, but it is not R. rostrata. It probably represents an unnamed species. This is currenly under review. This page will be updated as new information becomes available.

Distribution

Western Monatana and further west, at least.
