Nominations
Interested students should be nominated by their major adviser. Nominations are simple, an email to mivie@montana.edu stating the candidate is a graduate student studying Coleoptera, is on track to be a leader in the field, and a brief explanation as to why that is the case.
Venue
Classes will be held at the Marsh Laboratory of Montana State University, 1911 W. Lincoln Street, Bozeman, MT. Free parking is immediately behind the building, and does not require a parking permit. The facility includes dissecting scopes for each participant and free WIFI access. The closest airport is Bozeman (BZN), served by a variety of airline.
Lodging Options
MSU Dorms for $30/night double (shared, $15 each), $25/night single. Walking distance to workshop. Local motels from $92/night and up. Not walking distance, requires your own transportation. Forest Service and KOA camping approximately 5-20 miles, rates vary. Air BnB Good luck, you are on your own!
Workshop Details
Adult Workshop
Meet and Greet Sunday Evening, 5 PM 8AM to 5PM Monday, 13 June – Friday, 17 June. Lectures start at 9. Evenings in the collection possible.
Larval Workshop
8AM to 5PM Monday, 20 June – Wednesday, June 22. Lectures start at 9. Evenings in the collection possible.
Closing BBQ dinner Wednesday, 22nd, 5PM. Weekend free, options TBA. Registration includes course materials, light breakfasts, morning and afternoon coffee and snacks and lunch daily (not including weekends), Meet and Greet and BBQ. Dinners on your own. Adult Workshop only $200 Adult and Larval Workshop $250
