Telmatodrilus vejdovskyi Eisen
Recognition
The dorsal bundles without hair chaetae. Anterior dorsal bundles with 8 to 14 simple pointed chaetae. The posterior dorsal chaetae are minutely bifurcate or brush-like with multiple tips. There are no spermathecal chaetae and the pernial chaetae are unmodified. there are no penial sheaths. The body wall is thick, but non-papillate This species is superficailly most similar to some Aulodrilus spp.
Summary
A large tubificid (35 - 60), reported to be semi-terrestrial.
Distribution
Reported only from California to British Columbia.
