Pristina aequiseta Bourne
Recognition
One to 2 finely serrate dorsal hair chaetae are present. The dorsal needles number 1 or 2 and are only minutely bifid Lacks the elongate hairs on segment 3 of Pristina leidyi. Dorsal chaetae begin already on the second segment only in this genus and Pristinella jenkinae, which lacks a proboscis. The ventral chaetae number 5 to 8 with those on segment 2 longer and thinner than the rest. Ventral chaetae are thicken on some of segments 4 to 6 when mature. There are no eyes. Coelomocytes are present.
Summary
Pristina foreli (Piguet) is included here. The length is 2 to 8 mm.
Distribution
This is a widespread species worldwide.
