Recognition
One or 2 dorsal hair chaetae are present. The dorsal needle chaetae are thin, simple pointed and hair-like. Ventral chaetae on segments 2 through 5 number 6 to 10 and they have very long, thin and curved upper tooth unlike any other Nais species. Most Nais have eyes.
