Nais alpina Sperber
Recognition
One or 2 dorsal hair chaetae are present. The dorsal needle chaetae number 1 or 2 and are they are simple pointed and short (about 60 um). The ventral chaetae number 3 to 7 with the teeth not so long and thin as Nais behningi, the length of the distal tooth about 1.5 times the length of the proximal tooth, unlike Nais simplex. Most Nais have eyes.
Summary
The length is 3.6 to 3.8 mm.
Distribution
This species is probably holarctic.
